We are Investing in the Growth of RT Programming for Older Adults

Empower RT is honored to offer research grant up to $500 for the advancement of the recreational therapy body of knowledge through evidence-based practice and innovative programming for older adults. 

 

This grant is funded by the 2019-2020 winners of the National Academy of Recreational Therapists (NART) Scholarly Manuscript Award, received for exemplary contribution to the field for their manuscript, "Impact of a Pilot Adaptive Sports Intervention on Residents at a Skilled Nursing Facility." The recipients decided to invest this award money into the creation of the "Empower Recreational Therapy Research Grant" to further promote research of innovative programming for older adults.
